JobSummary:

  • SocialWorker Lead Practitioners are expected to deliver council s visionof strengths based social care we rely on working closely with ourpartners and importantly our competent confident creative andcaringworkforce.

KeyDuties/Accountabilities(Sample):

  • Thementoring and supervision to staff within the team ensuringprofessional standards and bestpractice.
  • Ensuringthat the responsibility of safeguarding adults at risk is afundamental element of this job and that the principles areembedded in all procedures practices professional advice decisionsandsupport.
  • Workingalongside and when required deputising for the team manager toprompt an environment of a supportive team enabling them andyourself to work with individuals to promote and supportindependence choice and control with wellbeing at the heart ofeverything wedo.
  • Conductingindividual complex assessments and safeguarding enquiries toestablish clear relevant proportionate and appropriate options forthe individual to meet their identifiedoutcomes.
  • Workingin partnership with adults their families carers and advocatescolleagues external organisations to provide appropriateprofessional social work support for vulnerable older people adultswith physical and sensory impairment or learning disability andcarers.

Skills/Experience:

  • Musthave a minimum of 2 years UK experience working in adult socialcare as a socialworker.
  • Musthave experience of supervising or mentoring social workerstaff.
  • Musthave experience of complex casework.


Must have a minimum of 2 years UK experience working in adultsocial care as a social worker. Must have experience of supervisingor mentoring social worker staff. Must have experience of complexcase work.
