About the role

Reporting to the Vice-President, Operations, this is a critical senior leadership role responsible for designing, leading, and transforming UCL’s approach to student recruitment and admissions, ensuring UCL consistently delivers an excellent experience to all student applicants, at every stage of their journey.

Main responsibilities:

With the aim of delivering on student enrolment targets and creating an excellent student experience: develop and deliver a student recruitment and admissions strategy which ensures a sustainable pipeline of undergraduate and postgraduate students. This is key to enabling us to meet our financial and strategic goals, and to achieving an effective approach to student number planning, whilst managing key risks. Accountable to UCL’s executive team, the University Management Committee, (via the VP Operations) for student recruitment and admissions activity, including significant stakeholder engagement with Deans and Faculties.  Establish a data and KPI driven customer-focused approach to student recruitment and admissions.

About you

The successful candidate will have a highly commercial, service orientated mindset and a proven track record of successfully leading and developing a high performing student recruitment and admissions function, with experience of both international and home markets. You will have experience of leading successful student recruitment strategies, including growing previously untapped markets as well as having optimised data analytics and technology to improve performance in recruitment and admissions.

You will have excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to drive high performance and measurable outputs as well as exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to land change well with a varied stakeholder group.
