Imperial College Business School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Recruitment and Admissions (MSc and UG). This pivotal role is responsible for leading high performing team to enrol over 1900 high-calibre students annually into our MSc and Undergraduate programs. You will provide strategic and operational direction across the candidate lifecycle.

As the Director, you will work closely with various stakeholders across the Business School to define target cohort profiles and develop admissions processes that align with the School's ranking and reputation goals. You will represent the School on College-wide projects, external events, industry conferences, and in advisory roles and media engagements. This position requires a deep understanding of global education and employment market trends to ensure that the School remains competitive in attracting top talent.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the candidate experience from initial contact through to enrolment. This includes coordinating the Undergraduate Admissions cycle, managing admissions committees, and handling complex admissions enquiries. You will also lead efforts to increase the enrolment of students from under-represented groups, striving for gender parity and a globally diverse cohort.

Additionally, the role involves overseeing the MSc and UG scholarships budget, developing financial aid strategies, and identifying new funding opportunities to support the School's vision and mission. You will lead and mentor a team of recruitment and admissions professionals, ensuring they deliver high-quality customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recruitment and admissions strategies to enrol over 15900 high-calibre students annually, monitoring and reporting on progress.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish selection criteria, manage admissions committees, and make decisions on non-standard qualifications.
  • Lead global recruitment efforts, including developing event strategies and managing candidate pipelines with HubSpot/Imperial360.
  • Manage the MSc and UG scholarships budget, develop financial aid strategies, and identify new funding opportunities.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of recruitment and admissions professionals, ensuring high-quality service and efficient processes.
  • Represent the School at global events, industry conferences, and in the media to enhance its reputation and build relationships with key partners.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in leading MSc Recruitment / Admissions functions, preferably in a Business School, and experience in Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing admissions strategies, setting, and managing budgets, and evaluating ROI.
  • Extensive experience in team leadership, managing staff, and addressing underperformance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the GME and HE sectors, including UK Higher Education admissions processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and uphold high standards of professionalism.
