Join Imperial College Business School as a leader of our MBA Recruitment and Admissions team. In this role you will provide strategic and operational direction for the candidate lifecycle, ensuring an outstanding experience at every stage. You will work closely with stakeholders to define target cohort profiles, develop admissions processes, and uphold our quality and diversity objectives, improving the school's ranking and reputation.

As the Director, you will represent the Business School on college-wide projects, at industry conferences, and in media engagements. This position requires a deep understanding of global education and employment market trends to influence strategic planning and ensure that the School remains competitive in attracting top talent.

Additionally, the role involves overseeing the MBA scholarships budget, developing financial aid strategies, and identifying new funding opportunities to support the School’s vision and mission. You will lead and mentor a team of recruitment and admissions professionals, ensuring they deliver operational excellence and high-quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruitment and admissions strategies to enrol over 500 high-calibre MBA students annually, monitoring and reporting on progress.
  • Lead Admissions Committees, develop selection criteria, and implement strategies to improve diversity and gender parity.
  • Build and execute global recruitment strategies, lead candidate pipelines, and optimize recruitment activity.
  • Manage the MBA scholarships budget, develop financial aid strategies, and identify new funding opportunities.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of recruitment and admissions professionals, ensuring high-quality service and efficient processes.
  • Represent the School at global events, industry conferences, and in the media to enhance its reputation and build relationships with key partners.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in leading MBA Recruitment / Admissions functions, preferably in a Business School
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing admissions strategies, setting, and managing budgets, and evaluating ROI.
  • Extensive experience in team leadership, managing staff, and addressing underperformance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the GME and HE sectors, including UK Higher Education admissions processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and uphold high standards of professionalism.
