Our growing team operates across the cloud and infrastructure technologies domains. The role is focused on specific projects and delivering outcomes, which will change regularly. This is not an operations role – you will see a wide range of challenges over time, every project is different. Innovation is at the heart of all we do, which is why you will be utilising various open-source and proprietary technologies. 

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect within Capgemini’s vibrant cloud platform team, you will have a pivotal role in the following types of projects: 

Private Public & Hybrid Cloud – architecting, designing, building and testing Cloud platforms. Often large and complex projects, with inputs from multiple technologies and domains (compute, network, storage, availability, scalability, operability, monitoring, security).

Cloud Migration – analysis, approach and plan that supports the migration of workloads from one data centre / cloud environment to another data centre / cloud environment.  Data centre Infrastructure; new deployments, refresh and upgrade projects  Experience and evidence of working on large scale projects are core to this role.

Your skills and experience

So, what kind of skills and qualities are we looking for? 

Data Centre Architect should have good experience, with evidence of exposure to complex Enterprise data centre projects during this time Proven track record in providing design and consultancy covering storage and backup availability, security, scalability, operability and extensibility. Provide technical leadership on the programme of work or project, own technical elements on a solution along with Deployment of an architectural solution within the programme  Worked on bids and costing of architecture solutions. Point of contact to EM and Lead architect relating to technical Architecture  Excellent awareness of current IT trends and products. Work within an Architecture governance model. Experience working on and have delivered complex Cloud, EUC or Data centre transformations for large clients  Cloud Certification on Azure, AWS or GCP is desirable. Key vendor certification desirable (HP, Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, RHEL…etc.)

Your security clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain . 
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
