Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
This role is a crucial bridge between the property management / data team within the property department, and other finance teams in the business such as accounts. Supporting the property management team to ensure property cost payments are made accurately, assisting with data entry and account reconciliation and funds recovery linked to property deals where appropriate.
A typical day in this role includes:
- Reconciliation of rent and service charge in collaboration with the finance team in order to ensure property deals can progress as planned for example - assisting with agreeing completion statements and allocation of funds within our accounts
- Identifying and actioning opportunities to recover monies inc VAT following completion of property deals.
- Supporting with rent and business rate payment runs as required
- Ensuring that any urgent payment requests are actioned by the finance team
- Assisting with Horizon lease data changes as required
- Assisting with supplier changes ensuring that these are actioned in adherence with set KPI’s
- Ensure line managers and department head/director are aware of any risks arising from payment issues

You’re great with people, highly self motivated, yet able to operate within a team culture. This role involves liaising with a number of other departments in the business and some of our external partners as well as landlords and their managing agents/accounts teams.
What you’ll need:
Ideally experience with the Horizon system (or similar property management database), Bottomline (or other invoicing program)
You will have a background of working in accounts payable / credit control with a solid confidence in working through accounts to reconcile payments and invoices etc.
Knowledge of commercial property management would be an advantage but training will be given
The ability to use Microsoft suite including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Powerpoint and Word as well as online and internal databases
