As aHead Chef at our home your role willinvolve:

  • Beingaccountable for the successful and effective operation of thekitchen including food production menu planning staff managementsupplies presentation/service and recordmanagement
  • Compliance withquality and safetystandards
  • Prioritising theculinary experience for our residents focussing on inclusivity byensuring all residents can participate in enjoying a varied andhighquality diet prepared in accordance with their individualneeds
  • Inspiring andmentoring junior kitchen staff to maintain a reputation of culinaryexcellence within thehome

*Overtime is paid forworking over full time hours. However overtime enhancement will notfeature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at anytime as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if workingover an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions.Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’app. Flexible pay is available via‘WAGESTREAM’.

What arewe lookingfor

Essentially we areseeking applications from experienced Chefs who understand theimportance of the mealtime experience for our residents and as suchwill consistently leave no stone unturned in delivering fantasticnutritious and varied meals to all those living at ourhome.

  • Candidates should becommunicative hardworking and suitably qualified individuals withexcellent leadership skills and significant proven experience ofheading up kitchenenvironments
  • Excellentmenuplanning and budgetary management skills are key as are a goodworking knowledge of nutrition anddietetics
  • City & GuildsDiploma in Professional Cookery 7100 Levels 1 & 2 orequivalent and a Basic Food/Hygiene Certificate are highlydesirable
  • Knowledge of EHORegulations IDDSI diets/texturemodified food & dysphagiaHACCAP and COSHH are highlydesirable
