Mid and South Essex ICB is a statutory organisation responsible for the planning and delivery of local health and care services, across Mid and South Essex and is part of the wider integrated care system. Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. The Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System includes the Integrated Care Board (ICB), which is the statutory body for the NHS, and the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), which is a committee of the ICB, and brings together key health, care, community and voluntary sector organisations across the area.

The ICS has a bold ambition to deliver improved outcomes for our population through our four Alliances, and we are placing clinical and professional leadership and the voice of our residents at the heart of realising this ambition.

The ICB has received a limited amount of funding from the DWP for the purposes of health and work integration. This role will support the Transformation manager in coordinating the ICS-wide, work and health partnership. It will involve engaging with wider system partners such as (but not limited to), Local Authority Partners, the primary care system, DWP as well as voluntary organisations and employers. Assisting in developing a service integration delivery plan, including the work and health measures announced in the Spring 24 budget, and making links with other opportunities, including the levelling up and devolution agenda.

In addition to the healthy work programme, the post holder would also assist with the wider healthy programmes of work (Healthy start, healthy hearts, healthy minds, healthy homes and healthy weight) as required. They may also be required to support broader prevention and health inequalities priorities across the ICS.

The post holder will project manage assigned projects to deliver the desired outcomes in accordance with quality, budget, and timescale specifications, thus performing a key role in keeping the projects/programme on track to meet the objectives.
