Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN/SEMH.
  • Develop and implement effective educational plans and strategies to support students' academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies, to provide comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and carers.
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an SEN/SEMH setting is preferred.
  • Passion and Commitment: A strong dedication to supporting students with diverse needs and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively.
  • Adaptability and Creativity: The ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varied needs of students.
  • Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Team Player: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
