Community Phlebotomist

Job summary
We are looking for part time phlebotomists to join our busy community integrated team as part of the wider multidisciplinary team. The service provides 24/7 nursing and therapeutic input to patients within their own homes with the aim of returning them to maximum independence, by actively promoting self-management on all activities of daily living.
You will be responsible for carrying out venepuncture and capillary blood sampling and insulin administration for house bound patients within the community setting.
You must hold a valid UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle as this role involves working across the Community in both Tendering and Colchester areas.
Main duties of the job
You will contribute to the delivery of high standards of health care to patients within a community integrated team as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will have or be prepared to undertake the following duties:
Phlebotomy Insulin administrationThe above is not an exhaustive list of expected clinical duties to be undertaken. Full training and competencies will be given to ensure that the post holder has the appropriate skills to undertake the above.
