ESNEFT Pathology services deliver innovative, high-performing pathology that is focussed on our customers and delivers high quality and fully compliant services across Colchester and Ipswich sites.
This post is based at Colchester Hospital and is part time - 20 hours per week.
Our service is clinically led and designed to achieve the benefits of scale that can be achieved by the hospitals working together, while remaining close enough to our customers to meet their needs and support the excellent clinical care provided by our hospitals.
We are looking for healthcare professionals who understand the changing services of pathology and represent the service going forward.
You will be required to work various shift patterns. All phlebotomy staff are required to participate in the cover of bank holidays, including Christmas, on a rota basis, and cover short notice absence.
Please note this role is clinical and not laboratory based.
- Work in the hospital ward environment with patients who may be severely debilitated
- Adhere strictly to established protocols and trust policies
- Collect blood samples directly from patients by venepuncture
