The position we have available is within our Assessment and Triage service. The role involves undertaking comprehensive assessments and providing expert advice, education and support to individuals.

The service covers 7 days a week, inc bank holidays. This position is for the day position only, hours of 8am-9pm (no night cover required). The Response Hub is committed to providing a supportive working environment therefore flexi working applications are considered.

This position will be working within the Response Hub duty and assessment function whilst the current team members move into Living Well. This function will predominantly focus on the UECA (Urgent and Emergency assessments) and will be undergoing a change in structure to align within the new model, the role will predominantly remain as it is but may have some changes to management structure/ how it is delivered.

Main duties of the job

The post will involve triaging referrals and assessing the appropriateness for mental health support, and signposting to other services if not appropriate. This post will be responsible for the assessment and formulation of presenting mental health problems experienced by individuals at a secondary care level. You will also be responsible for delivering brief psychological based interventions for people experiencing common mental health problems. Implement recovery pathways This post involves liaison with other roles and services within the community.

Rochdale Response Hub offers advice, signposting and support to individuals who require support with their mental health.

The service is the central point of entry into mental health services for Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale residents over the age of 18. The team receives routine and urgent referrals into mental health services, they also accept diverted emergency assessments following attendance at A&E.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

RMN/RNMH/Social Worker equivalent Evidence of ongoing CPD Experience of working with individuals who present to mental health services in crisis and have symptoms of mental health illness Proven experience of working with clients with complex needs Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams

Desirable

Degree - or working towards completion Formal teaching qualification. Further training in brief psychosocial interventions Completion of Preparation for Mentorship/Practice Teacher/Fieldwork Educator qualification or willingness to complete Primary care mental health work experience Experienced in the use of outcome measures such as CORE, PHQ9 and GAD7 Experience of working with a psychological model of care Experience of triaging referrals Experience of providing supervision to junior staff
