This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Warwick or Bicester where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

The Opportunity:

As a Project Engineer specialising in closures, you'll be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of exterior components for our innovative vehicle models. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our projects, and you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to drive innovation and excellence.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the closure systems and attribute delivery.
  • Responsible for Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components.
  • Responsible for upholding the highest standards of geometry creation and GD&T.
  • Report to Senior project engineers responsible for the relevant commodities.
  • Prepares full project documents.
  • Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products.
  • Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of full vehicle body systems: Doors BIW, Bonnet BIW, Tailgate BIW, Closures mechanisms and Sealing
  • Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance.
  • Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement.

  • Strong and proven relevant experience required in closures
  • Significant closure system knowledge and experience
  • Automotive experience essential.

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders & drive towards a common goal.
  • A calm multitasker who successfully managed, prioritise and executes against deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
