After School Club Assistant

Salary: NJC Scale 1, Point 2 3 £22,366 to £22,737 (actual pro rata £2,585 to £2,628)

Working Pattern: 2.5 Hours per evening (5 hours per week), Wednesday, Thursday

3pm 5.30pm, Term time only

Contract Type: Permanent

Start Date: November 2024


We are excited to be looking for a new team member to join us in our After School Club at Warren Wood Primary School providing out of hours care for 4-11 year olds.

Our school motto is ‘Care, Courtesy and Consideration’ and we pride ourselves on delivering this to all of our pupils through our thoughts, actions and deeds. We require someone who upholds these values of our school and is committed to the school vision and ethos of ‘Our Seven Steps to Being a Happy Learner’.

We are looking for someone who is happy to lead or work under the direction of others to enhance our after school club provision for 4-11 year olds and will enjoy working with children engaging well with them through play, crafts, sport and other such activities. You will need to be organised and adaptable to a busy school life, whilst working in line with the School Behaviour Policy and guidelines.

Competency in preparing snacks and fulfilling safeguarding responsibilities is essential, as well as the ability to work within a team. You will also assist with setting out and packing away equipment and resources.

Applicants should be qualified to at least NVQ level 2 in childcare/development or hold an equivalent, relevant qualification.
