Job summary

Due to promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen fora newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join the Sheffield Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service working within the acute ward team and the outpatient voice service.

We are a friendly service which supports development, and this would be a great first step in your career.

The post is hours a week and is a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be based in the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals SLT service working as a member of the team providing SLT input to the acute wards and voice outpatients.

The successful post holder will provide clinical Speech & Language Therapy to a defined caseload as part of the SLT team.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical speech and language therapy services to adults as part of the SLT acute inpatient team and outpatient voice SLT team.

The SLT service across both the acute and community teams in STH has approximately 55 staff (47 therapists, 7 assistants and 4 secretarial staff) (

Qualifications

Essential

Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree or equivalent Health and Care Professions Council - Licence to Practise

Desirable

Registered Member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists

Experience

Essential

Relevant experience at undergraduate / post-graduate level Experience of working with speech therapy clients.

Further Training

Desirable

Post graduate training in dysphagia

Skills

Essential
