An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Sheffield Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service working within the acute ward team. It is an exciting environment, working within a supportive and very friendly SLT team.

The post is 22.5 hours a week and is a permanent position.

They will provide clinical Speech & Language Therapy to a defined specialised caseload as part of the SLT team.

To provide clinical speech and language therapy services to a defined specialised caseload of adult patients as part of the acute ward SLT team.

To specialise in the assessment and management of communication disorders and dysphagia.

The SLT service across both the acute and community teams in STH has approximately 55 staff (47 therapists, 7 assistants and 4 secretarial staff) (41.23wte).

The SLT teams are highly motivated to provide a quality service to their patients, they are research active and embrace innovation. The service has established processes for supervision and supports personal and professional development.
