Primary SEN Teacher

Location: Harlow
Salary: £125 - £245 per day

Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to work at one of our client schools located in Harlow. This full-time position is perfect for a teacher who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN).

Responsibilities of Primary SEN Teacher:

  • Personalised Learning: Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the unique needs of SEN pupils, ensuring their academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
  • Classroom Support: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment, where children feel supported and valued.
  • Collaborative Working: Liaise with SENCO, teaching assistants, and other professionals to create and implement personalised learning plans.
  • Assessment and Progress Tracking: Regularly assess student performance and provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues. Adjust teaching methods to meet the evolving needs of each child.
  • Behaviour Management: Use appropriate strategies to manage behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning.

Requirements for Primary SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in working with SEN students, particularly those with complex needs.
  • A patient and nurturing attitude, with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated SEN team.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection, and a commitment to creating a safe learning environment.
