Hours : 40 hours per week

Rate of Pay : Up to £42K per annum basic depending on experience + 10k OTE

A typical day in the life of a General Manager:

  • Oversee all aspects of club management ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment. 

  • Drive membership growth through innovative marketing strategies and community engagement. 

  • Ensure exceptional member experiences by maintaining a high standard of service and addressing feedback promptly.

  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and expense control.

  • We will diligently implement and maintain comprehensive health and safety protocols. Ensuring a secure and risk-free environment for all members and staff. This commitment includes regular assessments, thorough training, and adherence to the highest safety standards, ensuring we are aligned with our organisation Health and Safety protocols. 

  • Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to align club operations with overall company goals.

  • Analyse performance metrics and develop action plans to achieve club targets and objectives.

  • Ensure the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the National Balanced Scorecard To drive business success and operational excellence. 

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in senior leadership roles within the fitness, hospitality or service industry.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of motivating and developing staff

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a customer focused attitude.

  • A genuine passion for health, wellness, and a desire to inspire others, with a commitment to delivering outstanding member experiences.

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. 

  • The ability to establish rapport, build trust and demonstrate credibility.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and KPI’s

  • The ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive and positive attitude with a customer-first mindset.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety processes/policies.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Hours can be starts to finishes.
