Hexcel is currently seeking an Product Manager - Matrix for our Duxford, UK location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Manage the matrix materials range for both internal and external customers. Margin performance: Control of product pricing with continual evaluation of pricing & cost base to enable company financial objectives to be met. Work across all business functions to support product qualification, source and process change activity, ensuring customer impact is minimised and well communicated as required. Develop strong working relationships with our customers. Work with the sales team to develop and implement strategy, maximising available sales potential. Support sales as technical expert, promoting the product range during customer visits and trade shows. Identify new opportunities and promote suitable products from the current range or initiate development activity if Hexcel business needs can be met. Should conflicts arise within our supply chain, provide support for evaluating potential solutions and be responsible for prioritisation. Be a marketing team focal point within the Duxford facility for interaction and alignment of global capacities, competitive positioning, and cross-site activities. Work with the Hexcel sales teams and customers to confirm demand accuracy is translated to our business systems. Support our business with market awareness for relevant product lines, defining market potential in all aspects of the applications, such as best market segmentation, size of markets, current and historic trends, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

University Degree or relevant industry experience with technical or sales & marketing background. Knowledge of the aerospace market (qualifications, programs, specifications…). Knowledge of composite materials (manufacturing processes and the products technical performance). Experience with external business relationships. Results orientated with strong written and oral communication. Strong Influencer with leadership and dynamism. Strong team-working ethic with the ability to work cross functionally. Commercially astute with excellent interpersonal skills Ability to set priorities and manage competing priorities in a matrix organisation. Ability to interact effectively at executive level with a good analytical and synthetics mindset.
