Finance Business Partner – Macclesfield

Full-Time, Permanent role

The FBP oversees the financial and accounting activities, primarily for the Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) division but may include other parts of the Specialist Technologies division. The FBP uses accounting, economic and commercial skills to evaluate operating data, detect business trends and prepare financial reports that comply with group requirements and accounting principles. The FBP will liaise with various stakeholders including Operational and Sales VPs, General Managers, Office Managers and Shared Service Centres. The FBP will review monthly financial statements, and help prepare capital project requests, budgets, forecasts and other financial analysis. The FBP will work with the Shared Services Centres and sites to ensure proper accounting entries during the closing process. Additionally, they will liaise with auditors, both internal and external, to ensure proper mitigation of identified control gaps.

This is a senior position that requires an advanced skill level in accounting, auditing and / or finance.

Main responsibilities:

Provide accounting & analytical support for the VPs of Operations and General Managers. Responsible for multiple plants across both of HIP’s business segments (Service & Product Fabrication). Perform ad hoc assignments as directed by VP of Finance. Assist with monitoring and control of all costs, fixed assets, and working capital components. Perform monthly and year end close. Work with each GM to understand monthly results, and prepare variance analysis for management. Coordinate forecasting process across sites. Work with Shared Services Centres to make accounting adjustments. Assist GMs and VPs with Budgets and forecasts. Assist GMs and VPs with Capital Expenditure forms and justification. Liaise with Internal and External Auditors. Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

Education: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent. Experience necessary: minimum 3 years plus management and/or analytical experience. Language Skills: must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing (English language). MS Office skills – essential. Hyperion experience – advantage. Moderate travel c.10 – 20%.

Salary / package:

Pension – match contribution from 4% – 10%. Life Assurance – 2 x annual salary. An entitlement to full pay whilst off sick for a limited number of days (in addition to your statutory sick pay entitlement). 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. Employee assistance program including wellbeing app.
