**Cre8 Support Worker (Driver) - Overview**:
The role is for a driver to support our social enterprise (Cre8 Facilities) and grocery operation (Project Grow) as follows:

- To drive Cre8’s vehicles in order to collect and process (load, sort and log) donated surplus food from retailers and organisations across Macclesfield and Manchester.
- To be a liaison point between Cre8 and its food supply partners.
- To provide Facilities vehicle washing services - a social enterprise leading a team of young workers from the local community to jet wash vehicles covering sites around Manchester and Macclesfield.
- To carry out General maintenance (for example, carrying out repairs and DIY around Cre8 properties).
- To provide practical assistance in supporting other Cre8 projects

We are looking for an enthusiastic, person who is passionate about working in the local community. You will be an important member of a closely-knit team which delivers two services to our local community: a food pantry called Project Grow, and also social enterprise work supporting young people to clean vehicles called Cre8 Facilities.

We may employ two drivers one for each project or one or two drivers to cover both projects between them - the important thing is we appoint the right person to ensure we can continue to deliver this fantastic community work.

***Responsibilities**
- Engaging hard to reach young people aged up to 25 with practical work;
- Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard;
- Safety: work safely on site and ensure others work safely;
- Storage: ensure materials are transported and stored safely;
- Drive Cre8 vehicles (in a safe and competent manner) to retailers and organisations across Macclesfield and Manchester (Openshaw) to collect donated surplus food;
- Load (into and out of vehicles at various pick up and drop off locations), sort and log donated surplus food;
- Build and maintain relationships (acting as a liaison point to ensure the flow of information/knowledge) with managers/staff at retailers and food partners;
- Supervise grocery logistics volunteers;
- Record keeping: vehicle logs and food and temperature logs;
- Health & Safety: Adhering to health and safety within the working environment (including food safety and hygiene standards);
- Keep the vehicles clean and tidy and report any issues to your line manager;
- Provide support to the Project Grow Coordinator;
- Safeguarding: Adhering to the Cre8 Safeguarding Policy and ensuring high standards of practice are maintained throughout delivery;
- Training: Take and provide opportunities for training and development where required;
- Team meetings: Attending and contributing to team meetings, including making sure you are adequately prepared for meetings;
- Discipline: Taking part in disciplinary and restorative justice meetings and procedures when asked to do so;
- Equality and Diversity: Promoting equality and diversity and making sure Cre8 is an inclusive and supportive place to be;
- Key holding: Making sure that Cre8 places are locked and secure when you leave and keeping Cre8 keys safely and securely;
- Welcoming: Making sure that Cre8 is a welcoming place for young people and for anybody who visits the organisation.
