We are currently advertising for a head and neck cancer nurse specialist in a development role post band 6. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in cancer nursing. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated nurse to join our team.
The post has now become available with great opportunities for the right person, who have the passion, drive and are keen to further develop within the head and neck cancer specialist area (ENT, OMF, Thyroid cancer).
We are also open to considering job sharing or supporting less than full time working, through flexible working.

Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive service for patients within the specialist and to provide direct patient care for both the inpatient (The James Cook University Hospital) and outpatient care setting and holistic support in helping improve quality of life by educating the patient on the management and control of symptoms and offering support following diagnosis through the entirety of the patient pathway.
To be a resource for other health professionals.
To work within a team of head and neck cancer specialist nurses accommodating flexibility to provide full-service cover, to always deliver appropriate care/support to both patients and clinicians across the service(s), within each directorate.
To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate South Tees NHS FT values of Caring, Respectful, Supportive, and Empowerment of our teams.
