We’re looking

for a talented Account Management Group Head who is passionate about working in Retail Media with the UKs largest retailer.

The Group Head is responsible for leading the account management team across a designated set of FMCG categories, with direct accountability for driving operational excellence and best-in-class client servicing to some of the world’s leading advertisers. Central to this role will be to define and lead account management excellence, scaling capability and expertise across the incumbent team alongside improving systems and output to ensure a fully consultative and outcome driven client servicing model. The Group Head reports into the Director of Account Management, partnering with Sales Group Heads and the Head of Sales to drive long-term revenue, scale client partnerships and inspire the wider media business. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong client servicing, inspirational leadership, all underpinned by a foundation of consultative sales and analytical skills.

Key Accountabilities

Support the achievement of quarterly + yearly revenue goals and growth strategy for key FMCG partners. Working with Media Leadership, define, build, and deliver the account management strategy, identifying skills and disciplines that will be key to successfully scaling the role and function of the team. Own the accountability for account management delivery and leadership across your designated categories / team. Lead and guide your teams media / channel strategy and planning output for our advertiser partners, supporting engagement with both client direct and their agency partners. Ensure your team are leveraging data and insights to deliver innovative, best-in-class retail media activations across the Tesco Media & Insights platform. Actively drive deeper partnership engagement from your team through scaled coverage across key stakeholders (Shopper, Brand, Digital, Media, Commerce & Loyalty teams). Partner internally with Sales leaderships, Media Enablement and Data Analysts to deliver against KPIs, driving business outcomes. Navigate complex internal cross channel projects with multiple stakeholders. Working with measurement, evolve our marketing science strategy to improve efficiencies and scale growth. Instil a consultative approach across your team to identify performance trends and insights to guide upsell / optimization recommendations with advertisers. Ensure account management maximise upsell opportunities to scale revenue post-sale. Product expert across Tesco Media & Insights ad eco-system, driving client adoption of media channels. Lead your team with a motivational and inspirational attitude, own responsibility for day to day management of your team, accountable for performance, development and professional satisfaction. Manage risk effectively, provide visible and consistent leadership on our Values and Code of Business Conduct and act where you see issues. Protect our team by ensuring they have the skills and training needed.

What we expect from you:

Passion for Retail Media and Tesco Media & Insights platform products and services. Extensive knowledge of brand, performance & digital marketing ecosystems and performance metrics. Strong experience of team management A breadth of sales/account management experience within media sales and / or agency environments. Results-driven, self-motivated and highly goal-oriented in order exceed targets. Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable in fast-paced environments. A consultative style with the ability to understand clients’ business needs and position solutions in a timely and personalised way. A team player with the ability to collaborate with internal departments and teams.

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any subject Fluent English 8 years + experience in the advertising industry, either in media sales / retail media, and/or media agency.
