We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who iscompetent in holistic practice nurse skills, including cervical smear taking,baby/ adult immunisations and wound three Practicesare progressive and fast paced places to work and we care for a diversepopulation of patients.

The function ofthe Practice Nurse is evolving within General Practice settings. Acknowledgingthis shift, we are in the process of creating a new advancement pathway for ourPractice Nurses. This initiative aims to enhance clinical abilities and allows Nurses to specialise in managing specific long-term conditions, ultimatelyleading to the designation of Advanced Practice Nurse alongside an improved payscale. Part of this advancement will involve training in prescriptionauthorisation, among other educational opportunities designed to foster growthand development in their roles.

We will also consider applications from nurses who are not Practice Nurse trained but who are able to work autonomously, have excellent team workingskills and a can-do attitude.

Main duties of the job

Toprovide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well asproviding nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primaryhealthcare team. Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care asdirected by senior nursing staff and GPs. General Practice Nurse skills include; cervical smeartaking, baby immunisations, chronic disease management and wound care.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Practice Nurse tojoin our team, Our three Practices are progressive and fast paced places towork and we care for a diverse population of patients.

The successful candidate will undertake the roles andresponsibilities listed below and will already have experience in most ofthese; however as an organisation we are dedicated to providing training forstaff members in areas that they have a particular interest or areas they havea gap in their current experience.
