Job Description

Deputy Nursery Manager

Salary: Up to £37,000

As a Deputy Nursery Manage you will play a pivotal role and will involve working closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations, providing high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to school age.

Situated conveniently near Twickenham station, The Nursery comprises two purpose-built buildings, each tailored to meet the specific needs of different age groups, providing a supportive and nurturing environment for children.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior role within a nursery setting
  • Demonstrated understanding of EYFS framework and child development principles
  • Strong communication, organizational, and people management skills
  • An enthusiastic, nurturing, and adaptable approach to working with children
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Current pediatric first aid and food hygiene certificates

Responsibilities
  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day management of the nursery
  • Assist in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and mentoring as needed
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children
  • Engage with parents and families, building strong partnerships and addressing any concerns or queries
  • Contribute to staff recruitment, training, and performance management processes
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
