As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, inspiring and leading a team to deliver outstanding childcare, and providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of care and education.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a team of childcare professionals to deliver outstanding childcare, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Child Development: Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources for children to enhance their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
  • Key Person Approach: Embed an effective key person approach to enable secure attachments for children, ensuring their individual needs are met and their well-being is prioritized.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor, maintaining a secure and healthy environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understand and comply with the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring our nursery meets the highest standards of care and education.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Significant experience working in full-day care nursery settings, with at least a couple of years as a Nursery Manager.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 qualification or above in childcare, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
