Nursery Deputy Manager Position

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Bright Horizons St Mary's Twickenham Nursery. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to all children in our care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of early years professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in our care.
- Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices that support the growth and development of the nursery.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child.
- Contribute to the commercial success of the nursery by maintaining expenditure inline with FTEs and budget KPIs.
- Engage with the Local Authority to understand the local offer and support practice in all areas of the nursery.
Requirements
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
- Experience within an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or Third in Charge.
- Experience of participating in a regulatory inspection, leading to a "Good" or "Outstanding" outcome.
- Confident decision maker with previous experience providing support and leadership to others.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children.
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents.
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
