Position Summary:

At Millennial Specialty Insurance (MSI), our business success is built on developing strong relationships with our agent and broker trading partners and clients. Join our team as the Emerging Markets Sales Manager. We are looking for an individual to identify, appoint, and collaborate with retail and wholesale broker partners in developing new business and retention strategies across our growing portfolio that includes residential and commercial private flood, commercial property, general liability, commercial package, and cyber insurance products.

The ideal candidate will have extensive retail and wholesale broker agency networks, a proven ability to bring on new producers to our platform, develop new broker relationships, and drive sales across several regions.

Sales Responsibilities

Achieve or exceed sales plans for new policy issues, Total Written Premium Growth, and Retention.Build actionable Agency Sales Plans that align with financial goals to ensure success.Utilize data and tools to monitor plan results, communicate and implement actions.Leverage all marketing programs and assets to drive engagement and growth with assigned agents.Create sales call plans to prioritize and leverage agency contact and activity to ensure sustainable flow of desired business.Collaborate with other business units within MSI to leverage existing agency appointments and broader relationships

Agency Management

Take ownership of key strategic distribution partner relationship and drive sales growth across all Emerging Market products with strategic distribution partners.Conduct in person and virtual sales calls, utilizing engaging technology, to establish and develop agency relationships with key personnel to drive growth, profit and retention.Leverage all resources and levers available to drive growth including Agent training, compensation, sales incentives, marketing resources, co-op, social media, etc.Work closely with MSI compliance team to ensure all documents and procedures needed to appoint and retain agents are appropriately implementedEmbody Emerging Markets value proposition and inspire aligned agents to sell value and to cross sell suite of EM products on all homeowners and commercial property business across their agency.

Qualifications

5+ years of Insurance sales/marketing, underwriting or related industry experience.Extensive network of current retail and wholesale broker relationships.Experience working in the Independent Agency channel and Wholesaler Associations.Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Technological skills (e.g., Microsoft tools such as SalesForce, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Proven outstanding sales performance; should be a highly driven and self-motivated individual with a strong desire to win.Sales experience with flood, commercial property, cyber, or general liability preferred.Proven ability to develop relationships and to motivate people.Exceptional sales and negotiation skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.Ability to work well independently.Ability to travel .
