Job summary
This post is a Fixed Term/ Secondment until 30/09/ you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.
The role will lead and develop the lived experience program locally in the health board as part of a national initiative supported by Health Education & Improvement Wales (HEIW). This will include the development and implementation of a Recovery College business case and support to develop the local Peer Support / Lived experience workforce.
Main duties of the job
Using the resources HEIW has developed, undertake a feasibility/scoping exercise in the Health Board, to consider the case for having a recovery college, identifying potential benefits and opportunities for the local organisation. Manage the programme of work to develop and implement a local Recovery College in line with the national HEIW Recovery College model. Lead and support implementation of the suite of national Recovery College resources developed by the national team in HEIW. Manage the development and delivery of education and development programmes to staff at all levels. Work collaboratively as part of an All-Wales Peer-led Recovery College community of practice network with HEIW to capture and share good practice, supported by a Quality Improvement approach Share as appropriate, local recovery college plans with the HEIW National Strategic Lead for Lived Experience, for visibility of plans and to identify and inform the development of national resources based oninterventions that have achieved tangible impact and results. Complete organisational reporting as required against the agreed metrics and data standards, providing visibility and assurance. Align local activities withthe national work on development of compassionate cultures and the non-pay elements of the pay award, to support and motivate staff to stay in NHS Wales.

Seven community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;
47 general practices (6 of which are managed practices), 45 dental practices (including 4 orthodontic), 96 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
