Who Are Chilled Pubs?

It all started back in 2007 when Loren agreed to Richard’s crazy dream, and together they purchased the Bulls Head in Repton. Fast forward 17 years, and they now run a thriving pub business with 7 gorgeous sites, over 600 employees, an industry-leading food & drink menu, and even 7 mascot alpacas

Driven by their vision to become the top leading pub brand in The Midlands, they’re passionate about finding superstars who can live and breathe their values to ensure every guest is wowed by their Chilled Pub experience. With no signs of slowing down, Richard and Loren are always looking for their next project and aim to expand to a portfolio of 20 pubs in the near future.

What the Role Entails

  • Food Safety: Support the Head Chef/Sous Chef by ensuring compliance is followed by yourself and your team to maintain our 5-star food hygiene rating.
  • Cooking Techniques: Demonstrate a strong knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques, ensuring company specs are consistently followed.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety procedures in line with our company policies.
  • Stock Management: Assist with stock control, stock takes, food orders, and daily deliveries.
  • Teamwork: Work both independently and as part of the wider kitchen team. Take ownership of your area, track orders and ticket times, and collaborate with the team for efficient kitchen operations.
  • Versatility: Be prepared to support across any section in the kitchen as needed. Have a good understanding of our full menu and be confident to help wherever required.
  • Leadership: Work closely with senior chefs to learn about the daily running of the kitchen and develop a successful team while promoting a positive team spirit.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead the kitchen and strive to exceed guest expectations by delivering high levels of food quality and standards in the absence of senior chefs.
