Responsibilities

 Organise and manage yourself to produce a productive and effective output of data and appointments via bold and cold callingOutbound phone calls to potential customers to promote company products and services in line with customer requirementsSell services over the phone and arrange face to face meetings with potential customers to ensure achievement of sales targetsRecognise and seek opportunities to up/cross sell additional products and services that the business offersPro-actively build, manage, and maintain relationships with clients via face-to-face meetingsOperate and effectively manage our CRM database with all customer contact and information ensuring accurate records are maintainedKeep abreast of developments within the water and utility services markets, provide accurate market information to clients and share new industry knowledge with colleagues.Research and prepare information for prospect meetings to identify their requirements to assist with closing the saleReview your own sales performance, ensuring yours and the company’s targets are met or exceededAttend external seminars and conferences as and when requiredParticipate in on-going training and development, regular performance reviews and monthly one to onesCarry out any other reasonable duties as required by the companyAdhere to Company and department standards, policies, and procedures to attain and maintain the required competency level to perform the role and to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly, with openness and honestyApply company values in all day-to-day activitiesUnderstand the health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements that are relevant to our work and comply with these. Actively promote issues regarding health, safety & the environmentYou must ensure strong relationships are maintained with colleagues inside and outside of the business, including but not limited to –New and existing customersClose working relationship with other members of your departmentColleagues on all levels of seniority within the business
 

Person specification (Background and skills):

Essential:

Previous experience of business to business selling, including business development is essential

Willingness to travel across the UK is essential

Ability to build strong, long lasting professional relationships

Experience of driving sales and new business initiatives

Desirable:

Good understanding of the UK energy and water management markets is desirable
