Business Support Officer Level 1

We are responsible for the entire range of children’s education, health and social care services in all three boroughs. We use a Signs of Safety practice model and approach which ensures the voice of the child is at the heart of everything we do. About the role

This is currently a one year fixed term, part time (3 days/21.6 hours) and term time only Business Support Officer L1 vacancy. As this is a part-time, term time post the salary will be pro-rata.

The role is responsible for undertaking administrative duties, working in a team under the supervision of the Business Support Team Manager. The fixed term, part time vacancy provides Business Support to the Education Welfare Service which is based in the Civic Office, York Street, Twickenham (Richmond).

You will be working with other officers in the Education Welfare Service as part of a team, so it will be important for you to form strong working relationships to ensure that you are able to meet the statutory deadlines of the services.

There will be some Service specific work using bespoke databases and trackers.

Generic Business Support responsibilities for the role will include;

Managing and responding to all requests received in the FPN inbox. Providing administrative support to the Elective Home Education Service Liaising and working closely with Education Welfare Officers. Updating service specific databases and trackers. Fielding relevant telephone calls and messages. Completing statutory returns. Supporting with I.T. set up and the creation of resources as required.

The role will require an individual to have strong admin, customer service and digital experience to undertake a range of these functions to ensure that they are providing excellent support to those in the directorate and to our children, young people and their families.
