Job summary

The post sits within the Adult Community SLT service but will be based on two older person mental health wards at Alderney Hospital and will be embedded within this multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will also hold a caseload of complex cases and provide a second opinion as requested for other cases.

They will manage leadership aspects providing supervision and education to the MDT and SLTs within the Adult Community SLT service. The post holder will contribute to strategic and clinical development.

The post sits within the Adult Community SLT service but will be based on two wards at Alderney Hospital and will be embedded within this multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred services with a focus on integrated care which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity.

Day-to-day leadership within a clinical team and / or specialist practitioners and other staff in the multi-disciplinary team.

To act as a champion for clinical standards and for continuous improvement in the service user experience.

To ensure the delivery of up-to-date evidence based practice.

Contribute to the planning and design of services in line with Trust, locality and government objectives to meet the needs of local people.
