What will I bedoing

  • Collaboratingwith internal teams to prioritise and deliver a portfolio ofresearch evaluation and intervention development/implementationwhich achieves maximum impact in relation to CRUKs strategicobjectives
  • Project managing and advising onresearch evaluation and intervention development/ implementationfrom development of the design and methods to communication orresults internally and externally
  • Developingand maintaining effective working relationships with researchevaluation behaviour change and implementation experts making themost of opportunities for collaboration to help achieve CRUKsstrategic priorities including generating academic publicationswhere possible
  • Leading the procurement processfor the commissioning of external suppliers (e.g. market researchagencies)
  • Preparing and deliveringcommunications including presentations reports peerreviewed papersand conference presentations/posters to a high standard workingwith colleagues and external researchers asappropriate
  • Maximising the impact of researchevaluation intervention development and implementation on internaldecision making and external influencing activities throughstrategic planning and proactively monitor impact overtime
  • Using research outputs and knowledge ofrelated research to influence colleagues at all levels to makeappropriate changes to their activities communications strategicplans and priorities
  • Representingbehavioural/implementation science and evaluation expertise in PICand CRUKwide initiatives including within PICs governance structureensuring visibility of relevant research evaluation interventiondevelopment and implementation
  • Managing aResearcher and Administrator ensuring delivery of high quality andimpactful research evaluation and interventiondevelopment/implementation and supervising/overseeing the work ofplacement students/interns
  • Developing anddelivering resources and training to improve the ability of staffacross PIC to conduct research evaluation and interventiondesign.


Whatskills are you lookingfor

  • Willingness to workflexibly and adaptably in response to evolving strategic prioritiesand changes in the externalenvironment
  • Postgraduate qualification orequivalent experience in a relevant field e.g. psychology/behavioural science/implementation science/ health serviceresearch
  • Specialist knowledge and extensiveexperience of research and evaluation methods and analysis(quantitative and qualitative) and how to design behaviour changeinterventions
  • Ability to lead on a defined areaof work and deliver through others
  • Excellentproject management skills; able to oversee the timely delivery of arange of largescale complex projects whilst managing competingpriorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills andteam working building and maintaining effective relationships withinternal and external stakeholders including at a seniorlevel
  • Developing and delivering authoritativeand engaging communications extracting relevant information andflexing communication style for eachaudience
  • Ability to influence and negotiatewith internal stakeholders and external suppliers (for examplemarket researchagencies).
