As part of the Samsung Wallet partnerships team you will play a key role in developing the valued partnership landscape for one of our largest growth product areas, The role offers you the opportunity to work across departments including finance, mobile, legal and marketing and with our Wallet partners enable experiences that delight and retain our Wallet customers while delivering new revenue and monetisation opportunity to Samsung.

We are seeking a dynamic Partner / BD Manager to drive the integration of our digital wallet as a preferred payment method across various large online merchants. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Payment Gateways (PGs) or Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to identify key merchant partners and develop strategic plans to on-board them onto our digital wallet platform. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong network of EU merchants, experience in integrating payment methods into online checkout processes, and the ability to articulate compelling value propositions to drive adoption.

Role and Responsibilities

Partnerships Strategy

Identify and research potential merchant partners, opportunities, and suppliers.

Develop pitch materials and handle the full sales cycle to promote our digital wallet and payment solutions with online merchants

Create a full BD programme in partnership with the chosen PG / PSPs and align on merchant targets / pipeline

Partner Development

Negotiate new business agreements to secure wallet and payment partners, enhancing functionality and driving revenue and engagement.

Nurture and cultivate relationships with existing portfolio accounts, tracking and optimising performance while handling partner roadmaps and future propositions.

Drive Innovation

Identify new market opportunities and growth sectors within the digital wallet and payment programs.

Champion and advocate for new functionality and partnerships to support product and proposition development.

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

Consistent track record in handling Payment Gateway (PG) relationships, demonstrating the ability to negotiate and secure partnerships for digital wallet integration.

Deep understanding of the online checkout landscape, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities for enhancing payment methods.

Experience in leveraging Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to optimise checkout processes and drive conversion rates.

Demonstrated commercial and contractual competence with a track record of delivering from concept to go-live.

Ability to build strong and effective relationships to collaborate in cross-functional teams.

Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, often conflicting demands, with flexibility and adaptability.

Passion for Samsung products, content, and services.

Skills and Qualifications

Ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities to integrate digital wallet solutions seamlessly into various online merchant checkout experiences.

Strong grasp of payment industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring smooth implementation and operation of digital wallet solutions.

Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies to increase adoption of digital wallet payments among online merchants, driving growth in transaction volume and market share.

Proficiency in analysing data and metrics related to checkout performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing critical initiatives to enhance user experience and drive revenue growth.
