About the Role: Role 
You’ll join us on a Business Resilience Apprenticeship gaining knowledge of how the Business Resilience team. The Business Resilience Management Programme is designed to minimise and mitigate the impact of a crisis on our people, assets, brand and revenue by preparing for the worst-case scenario. It prepares for interruptions to essential business operations. The team supports, develops and maintains a range of tools that ensure Drax can withstand and overcome unexpected challenges. Achieved by planning, preparing and coordinating responses to various disruptions, such power outages, cyber events and severe weather.
 
Day to day you’ll develop your expertise in the disciplines of crisis management, business impact analysis, contingency design, plan implementation and programme validation. But you’ll also get to support the governance function to deliver programmes aimed at improving and enhancing the services Drax provides and how it provides them, for example to reduce risk, improve efficiency and move towards a sustainable delivery model for the organisation. A working knowledge of a variety of regulatory frameworks will need to be gained, for example Network of Information Systems (NIS), Smart Metering and GDPR.
 
 
What we’re looking for … 
 You’ll interact with a range of internal stakeholders across departments such as IT, legal, finance, HR and occasionally liaising directly with senior management, so you’ll have good communication skills, both verbal and written and you’ll be a team player who’s able to build effective relationships. You’ll be self-motivated, flexible, and willing to learn, and you’ll also be conscientious with an eye for detail. As you’ll be working with computers and systems, a good understand of Microsoft products , office, outlook is essential. 

You’ll enjoy applying your analytical and critical thinking skills when considering complex situations and problems and be able to respond to change in a flexible and positive manner including in time-sensitive and high-pressured environments. And you’ll be comfortable working alone or in a range of team settings, working to agreed timescales and without high levels of supervision.

To be eligible for the opportunity listed above, you will need at least GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C, 5 or above.
