Maintenance Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES
To rectify any maintenance issues within the hotel on a daily basis as agreed by the Maintenance Manager / Operations Manager.Carry out regular hotel inspections to identify maintenance requirements.Carry out structured PPM (Pre-Preventative Maintenance) to a high standard of finish.Ensure guest safety by eliminating potential risks and hazards.Ensure that a safe and secure environment for guests, staff and visitors is maintained.To ensure that all equipment is operated in line with trained instructions and is maintained in a clean working condition.Store and use all hazardous substances in line with trained instructions.To prioritise and complete all jobs according to departmental standards and within an appropriate timeframe and where this is not possible to ensure that guests and relevant managers are informed.Ensures that all work complies with safety standards.Interaction with all departments as and when required.Painting, Wall repairsBasic plumbing: Unblocking, fixing leaks, replacing taps/sinks/toiletsBasic carpentry: Doors, headboards, desktopsBasic electrical: Isolating and replacing like for like itemsGeneral maintenance tasksWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
Must have previous experience in a similar role, ideally from a hotel environmentA good knowledge of Health and SafetyMust have the ability to multi-task, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environmentGood communication and excellent grooming standardsAble to work various shift patterns - morning, afternoon/evening, and weekendsPassionate and willing to learnPositive attitude and someone who makes our guests smileGenuinely friendly and caringElectric and plumbing qualifications would be advantageousTHE PERKS
