SunderlandIntegrated Musculoskeletal Service (SIMS) is looking for an enthusiastic andmotivated Band 3 Technical Instructor to join our existing multidisciplinaryteam (MDT). SIMS is a true MDT consistingofhighly experiencedclinicians including a Sports and ExerciseConsultant, GPs with special interest in MSK, Extended Scope Practitioners,Physiotherapists and Technical Instructors.
SIMS are dedicated tocontinuing professional development. Wehave an extensive in house training programme and strong direct links withsecondary care colleagues who attend and contribute to our monthly CPDevents. You would have access to aninternal network of senior and specialist support including both Medical andAllied Health Professional (AHP) staff who provide leadership, educational,research and clinical support. We offerclinical supervision, coaching and mentoring and have team building and awaydays all to contribute to the development of SIMS staff.

Main duties of the job
The SIMS team is part on the communitydivision. The candidate should haveestablished MSK experience and should have good grounding in the NHS. Main duties include:
To work within SIMS providing assistance in delivering arehabilitation service to a client group.
To provide support and assistance to thequalified therapists clinically as well as administratively
Ensuring a quality service. The aim of the service is providerehabilitation to patients with MSK disorders
To carry out specific delegated elements of therapy assessment followingstandard operating procedure.
To adhereto all Trust policies and procedures as they pertain to Personnel, Health &Safety and Child, Elder Protection issues and Continuing Health Care needs.
SIMS is a forward thinking, innovativeteam led byour Operational Lead, Jill Clark and Clinical Lead, Dr Glen Rae (Consultant inSports and Exercise Medicine). SIMSoffers specialist andcomprehensive assessment, treatment andrehabilitation of MSK conditions. The service operates across Monday toSaturday including working one late night and alternative Saturday mornings.

To work within Sunderland Integrated Musculoskeletal Service (SIMS) providing assistance in delivering a rehabilitation service to a client provide support and assistance to the qualified therapists clinically as well as administratively Ensuring a quality service. The aim of the service is to provide rehabilitation to patients with Musculoskeletal disorders. To carry out specific delegated elements of therapy assessment following standard operating procedure. The post holder will often be working alone without direct supervision of the Physiotherapist; however, advice from a Physiotherapist is available. To adhere to all Trust policies and procedures as they pertain to Personnel, Health & Safety and Child, Elder Protection issues and Continuing Health Care needs.To comply with the Trusts vision, values and behavioural compact:
