What is the role?

Are you an experienced incident management professional looking to grow with Gatwick? As a Control Centre Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency of the room and executing the daily operational plan. You will act as a focal point in the Gatwick Control Centre (GCC) to collate and distribute information to all necessary teams, managing incidents to reduce escalations and potential disruption.

Working in a fast moving and highly pressurised environment, you will have experience of managing and communicating incidents. To be successful you will demonstrate quick thinking and the ability to identify trends and patterns, taking the required action.

As the  Control Centre Manager  at  Gatwick Airport,  you will be responsible for;

Providing inspiring leadership, performance management, coaching and development to a small team, delivering continuous improvement and engagement Working proactively to mitigate risk & reduce disruption, but ensuring the Control Centre delivers an effective response to unplanned incidents, using learnings from previous occurrences. Building and Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, improving daily communication Working with the wider stable operations community to plan and deliver smarter ways of working, delivering a cost-effective operation. Reviewing process and procedures to identify and integrate innovative ways of working. Ability to streamline processes and make the business more efficient. Understanding of cost to operate by reducing cost and driving performance.

Ability to identify trends and patterns. Proven track-record of driving business change through detailed data analytics and critical thinking Exceptional people leadership with a focus on teamwork and facilitating change within an organisation. Experience in managing incident or crisis situations and motivating a team to ensure the best possible outcome under pressure. Experience of a Control Centre environment is beneficial. Exceptional communication skills –able to disseminate information to a range of internal and external stakeholders concisely both written and verbally. A sound understanding of data analysis to recognise trends and help drive business performance as well as manage KPIs and hold stakeholders to account when needed Innovative with the ability to encourage new ideas Adaptable, able to respond and react to changing circumstances and priorities, take on board new ways of working whilst helping to integrate change Able to use data to help manage business processes and ensure suppliers and third parties are delivering against KPIs and holding them to account when needed Thorough with a high attention to detail to ensure exceptional standards with a focus on data entry and analysis A problem solver who addresses root causes of problems in a fast-paced environment and actions effective change when needed. Able to think ‘outside the box' in order to achieve a positive end result Passionate about developing and motivating others Able to remain calm and focussed in stressful situations
