Teaching Personnel is currently working with a group of primary schools in Wigan seeking to appoint a highly experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their strong Learning Support department on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Full-time HLTA role - Required to start from September 2024
- Competitive pay rate – Monthly earnings of up to £1623.75
- Temporary position initially with the potential for a permanent contract
- Working within a supportive Wigan-based secondary school
Role and Responsibilities:
As a HLTA, you will provide in-class support, plan, and deliver Learning Support lessons to identified students within the school. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting teachers in the classroom
- Planning and delivering targeted learning support sessions
- Assisting with the assessment and tracking of student progress
- Collaborating with parents, staff, and external professionals
Candidate Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in liaising with parents, staff, and external professionals
