About the service user

I am a 39 year old single mum of 4 children.  I live with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, this is a connective tissue condition which causes severe joint pain & fatigue.  My children are very important and take up the majority of my time, but I do enjoy going out for lunch when I can and my condition allows.


Hours and rate of Pay

8 hours per week @ £11.44 per hour Enhanced DBS clearance is required


What you would be doing

Supporting me in my role as a parent, getting the children ready and to school.  Supporting me with them when accessing the community.  Supporting me to make and attend appointments, with post and making phone calls.  Some domestic tasks that are tricky for me such as changing beds and some food preparation.  Needs may vary on a daily basis, therefore hours, duties and tasks may alter at time.


The person I would like

You will be confident about working in a busy family home and be sensitive to the needs and wishes of us as a family.  Someone who has a genuine interest in the provision of high quality support and who will promote my independence.  Someone who is flexible with their working hours/pattern.  Someone who can demonstrate reliability, who is committed, honest and patient and has the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
