A wonderful nursery inBarnet is seeking an experienced SEN Nursery Nurse to providededicated support to children with special educational needs (SEN).In this role you will work closely with families and teachers tocreate an inclusive environment where every child feels supportedandnurtured.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide1:1 and group support for young children with special educationalneeds helping them engage in early learningactivities.
  • Assist in the development andimplementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioursupport plans.
  • Work closely with families tounderstand the unique needs of each child and ensure a consistentapproach to care both at nursery and athome.
  • Collaborate with teachers and externalprofessionals such as speech therapists occupational therapists andeducational psychologists to ensure comprehensive support for thechildren.
  • Promote social emotional andcognitive development through tailored activities andinterventions.
  • Monitor childrens progress andprovide regular updates to families and staff on key milestones andareas for further support.
  • Participate intraining and professional development to stay current with bestpractices in early years SENcare.

Experience andQualifications:

  • Provenexperience working with young children especially those withspecial educational needs in a nursery or early yearssetting.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications suchas NVQ Level 3 in Early Years orequivalent.
  • Strong understanding of early yearsframeworks child development and SEN bestpractices.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationshipswith children families and staff.
  • A caringpatient and adaptable approach to working with children with arange of needs.
  • A DBS check isrequired.
