Primary SEN Teacher (KS1) SEN School Barnet

Role Highlights

  • Fulltime permanent position in an inclusive SEN setting focused on creating a positive learning atmosphere for every student
  • Develop and deliver creative tailored lessons designed for small class sizes allowing for more personalized attention and support
  • Collaborate closely with support staff and SEN specialists to adapt materials and approaches to the unique needs of each student enhancing both engagement and understanding
  • Create a structured safe classroom environment that encourages social emotional and academic growth supporting each child in building confidence and independence
  • Participate in SENfocused training and professional development refining your skills in differentiated instruction and SEN strategies to continuously enhance your teaching methods
  • Regularly monitor and assess student progress providing feedback to parents and SEN staff to ensure aligned support and progress tracking

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary education ideally within an SENfocused environment
  • A creative adaptable approach to teaching with a commitment to designing lessons that engage students of varying abilities and learning styles
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset enabling you to work effectively with support staff parents and other educators to meet student needs
  • An empathetic patient approach to supporting students with diverse challenges and a passion for creating a safe inclusive learning space
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students
