We're looking for a Tax Manager to join our Tax team on a full-time permanent basis in Peterborough. 

As the Tax Manager, you will be key to leading the day-to-day corporation tax compliance requirements for the Bauer UK Group.


You will be responsible for all UK Bauer corporation taxes, ensuring that filing deadlines are met and correct taxes are paid. Also, manage the corporation tax sub-team and rely on their support to deliver on taxes and ensure compliance.

This role will be based in our Peterborough office.

The Team:

Tax is an internal centre of expertise for all tax-related issues within Bauer Media, providing support at both a local and global level within the organisation. We support the business by ensuring that it is compliant with national and international tax requirements, is protected against tax-related risks and adds value by identifying local and group-wide opportunities for tax optimisation.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Corporate tax compliance management, preparing/reviewing of in-house computations, payments and reporting. Statutory accounts tax notes, audit, and risk management including CIR, BEPS, Pillar 2, CbCR obligations (with support from the Corporation Tax Accountant).

• Managing UK transfer pricing requirements and documentation

• Supporting with the UK Senior Accounting Officer processes, audit and submissions.

• On-going monitoring of Criminal Finance Act (risk assessment, policies, and procedures)

• Overseeing the development of internal tax policy and governance.

• Managing the Corporation Tax sub team.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience of team management

• Proven post qualification experience

• Organised, structured and ability to see through projects from beginning to end

• AlphaTax and SAP4Hanna experience desired but not essential as training will be given

• Knowledge and understanding of CT requirements

• Strong spreadsheet and data manipulation skills
