As an Audiologist working for the Audiology Adult Diagnostic Department, you will be providing high-quality audiological care to adult patients with a wide range ofcomplexities.
You will be responsible for supporting your manager and ensuring that our service user' needs are met through the delivery of high -quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being.
Main duties of the job
Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out Adult Diagnostic testing procedures. Responsible for adult caseload of patient primarily requiring hearing test procedures. Support colleague in AVM, ENT with audiological testing. Treat all patients with dignity and care in a safe supportive manner whilst adhering to clinical governance requirements.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
oBSc in Clinical Audiology or equivalent level of knowledge State registration as Clinical Physiologist in Audiology. or oProfessional Body examinations BAA (British Association of Audiologists) Part I&II oMembership of BAA, BSA (British Society of Audiologists) oMHAS (Modernised Hearing Aid Services) training.
Skills and Abilities

oExcellent interpersonal skills. Skills for assessing and interpreting test results. Ability to maintain concentration to obtain accurate results throughout busy clinics Applying information to the use and application of appropriate hearing aids for adult users. Judgmental skills needed in the performing and choice of test or tests required for ENT clinic. oAbility to work well in a multi-disciplinary team. Computer skills. Ability to deal regularly and appropriately with angry and frustrated individuals. Ability to work with minimum supervision and use initiative. oPlanning and organising sufficient availability of stock. Monitoring faults through to a satisfactory conclusion.
