Job summary

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administration duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.

Duties can include, but are not limited to, supporting the administration and receptionist teams with patient registration, summarising, coding, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner and in accordance with current policies.

To support staff with thedistribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team,liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such assecondary care and community service providers.

Main duties of the job

The following are thecore responsibilities of the Administration Assistant. There may be, onoccasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent uponfactors such as workload and staffing levels:

a.Process incomingand outgoing mail

and storerecords as required

c.Photocopydocumentation as required

d.Process anddistribute incoming communications

e.Process changes topatient registration, deduction of record and

new patientregistration

f.Summarising of newpatients medical records

data into thepatients healthcare records as necessary

incomingphone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers requestsappropriately

i.Welcome patientsand visitors to the organisation, directing requests appropriately

maintain aclean, tidy, effective working area

k.Support allclinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested

About us

We are a very friendly, busy GPpractice situated in West Sussex between Littlehampton and Bognor Regis and arelooking for a full time, multi-skilled Administrative Assistant to to join our Admin team.

As with any role, experience isbeneficial and previous experience of working within a GP practice would bepreferable. Full support and training to develop the role will be provided.
