An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the community nursing service in Halton. Are you an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking for a new challenge? You will join a team delivering high quality care to patients who are housebound through supporting the team with admin/office duties, taking referrals, ordering stock. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, skills- word, excel and outlook. If you feel you have the right skills to join our team of District nurses, then we would like to hear from you. You must be willing to work within an integrated team and develop your skills and knowledge. Community nursing is evolving at a fast pace, and you must be able to embrace change.
Main duties of the job
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and document accurate client records using the IT System/Records. To treat patients with dignity and respect at all times. To work competently performing basic clinical skills as directed by a district nursing sister, basic dressing techniques Monitor stock levels and re-order required items utilising Shared Business Services Ensure environment and equipment is clean according to Infection Control Guidelines.To act as a chaperone as required
To communicate and liaise with other team members, reporting any changes in the patients condition. Provide support and advice to patients, relatives and carers. Work collaboratively with other health professionals within the clinic. Promote peoples equality, diversity and rights. Organisational Duties Contribute to the development of services. Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources. Provide administrative support to the District Nursing Team. Complete Venepuncture training and deliver phlebotomy service

Job responsibilities
Job Purpose:
You will work under the direction of the District Nursing team Leader/ Sister:
The post holder will undertake clinical interventions under the direction of a Team leader Maintain accurate documentation on the IT System/records. Assist in ensuring equipment/environment is clean according to the Infection Control Guidelines. Liaise with other clinicians / administration, reporting as appropriate To provide clerical support for district nursing teamTravel is essential for the post therefore candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to travel and hold a full UK driving license.
Organisational:
Provide administrative support to the District Nursing Teams Contribute to the development of services. Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources. Monitor stock levels and re-order required items utilising Shared Business ServicesPersonal Issue:
Participate in the IPA and PDP process.
To adhere to all Trust Policies.
Report sickness and other absences to the identified administrator.
To provide accurate, timely information to the identified administrator regarding annual leave, expenses and study leave.
Supply required activity data related to patient care.
Adhere to the lone worker policy

Essential
General education to GCSE level or equivalent
Desirable
NVQ 2 & willingness to undertake NVQ 3 in administration. First Aid Qualification
