Senior Care Assistant Role:

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant in our Complex Care Division. As a Senior Carer your role would involve working night shifts within the Kent area.

You will work on a long-term basis with one or a small number of clients and will benefit from a permanent contract, as well as the option of overtime. We are looking for carers who are keen to work full-time hours however part-time roles are offered.

The training you will receive: 

We will provide paid classroom-based training when you join us, with paid induction shifts and ongoing supervision provided by our in-house team of nurses and supervisors. Additional paid training is also provided to meet client-specific needs.

We support Senior Carers who want to grow their skills and progress within the company.

When you join us, you’ll receive:

  • Competitive rates of pay – £16.45-£18.80  per hour
  • £32.90 per hour for bank holiday work.
  • Paid mileage of 45p per mile over 20 miles from your home.
  • Permanent contract.

SHCRME

Responsibilities
  • Supporting clients with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, long term disabilities.
  • Supporting a range of complex needs such as PEG, tracheostomy, ventilators, seizure management.
  • Support new members of staff with shadow shifts and induction periods.
  • Supporting a variety of clients on a 1-1 basis.
  • Possession of, or willing to work towards, a level 3 NVQ qualification or similar
Requirements
  • A full UK driving license with access to your own car
  • Travel across Kent
  • Commitment to a full-time contract
  • Must have strong experience with tracheostomy care
  • Some experience with PEG feeding, ventilators, seizure management
