Key Stage 2 - Y6 - Teaching Assistant role

The Headteacher of a smaller than average Primary School in Preston is on the look-out for a Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team on a full time basis. The working hours for this role are 8:45-15:15 Monday-Friday term time only.

This is an additional role across KS2 and is therefore a new role in school targeted at supporting pupils working below age related expectations. The Headteacher is keen to appoint through the agency and then employ the candidate onto a school contract following a successful probatory period. This is a long-term position to start from September 2024.

The role will be working alongside small groups of children across Y6 and providing general class support working alongside the class teacher and another experienced teaching assistant within the class. This school serves central Preston catchment area therefore, candidates with experience of working in central Preston are welcome to apply. Excellent knowledge of English and Maths is

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
