The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Willand Preschool as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.

Based in Collompton and established since 1965, Willand preschool aim to provide a caring, friendly, happy environment for each child to play, learn and socialise in.

At Willand Preschool we focus on creating a play based learning environment, in particular one that is child initiated. We believe that children should be free to explore and develop their interests at their own pace and in their own way, thus enhancing their development. We provide rich learning experiences through a wide range of toys, resources and activities in both our indoor and outdoor spaces, covering all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We offer after school care and breakfast club for children aged 2 to 11 years old. We also provide holiday clubs for all holidays excluding the Christmas break.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

Train them to be a key worker Support planning of engaging activities for children Observe and record children’s learning and behaviour Responsible for own group of children’s learning and development Risk assessment of rooms and activities Foster positive relationships with parents

Requirements;

Level 2 in childcare is essential when applying for this role  You must be able to gain a clear DBS Have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent

Hours; 

Willand Preschool is open from 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday You will be required to work between 30-40 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed Your working hours will be 08:15-16:30 Monday to Friday
